A slice of Swedish Hospitality- Karin and Peter
From Karin and Peters kitchen window in Malmö you can see the famous Turning Torso. Perhaps join for a supper in the Western Harbour area of Malmö?
A Slice of Swedish Hospitality offers visitors a unique chance to discover the cozy, everyday but still exotic side of Sweden by having dinner with a local family. You can’t get much closer to us Swedes than that!
Lunch, a Swedish Fika, coffe break, or supper in a private home will give you a chance to sample some Swedish delicacies, depending on the season and your host’s own preferences in the kitchen, and have a chat about everyday life. You can ask about culture and traditions, find out about local stories and anecdotes or get insider tips on what to see or where to shop. Without question the most authentic way of experiencing the most southern part of Sweden called Skåne.
We are an active couple in our sixties with many interests. We have our own business, working as management consultants. We appreciate a good conversation on culture, arts, history, traveling, our lives on this earth as well as a good meal.
We like to travel, have seen a lot and are now eager to share our traditions, good food and knowledge about our fantastic country with you. From the kitchen in our modern apartment, we can see the famous Turning Torso. Sunny summer mornings we go for a swim in the salty sea.
In our part of Malmö, Västra Hamnen, you can stroll along the sea, have an ice-cream, take a bath (oh yes) or have lunch or dinner. Only 30 minutes walk from the Central station.
We have allergies in the family, so sorry, no pets.
We both speak english, Peter speaks german and Karin speaks french. We have a 25 year old daughter, newly examined tax lawyer. She will love to meet you as well. She speaks english and french.
We have space for 4 guests.
